Admissions realism depends on your home postcode and the school's published allocation data. Enter your postcode on this page to get a more specific assessment, and always verify the latest policy on the school's official admissions page.

This is a selective school. Admission usually requires passing an entrance test. Check the school's admissions policy for test registration deadlines.

Watch-outs

Entry requirements

MGGS says girls joining Year 7 must be judged suitable for grammar-school education through the Kent PESE procedure and then apply through Kent County Council. The school also operates a Supplementary Information Form for Pupil Premium notification and for children previously in care outside England; where relevant, that SIF must be returned to the school by 31 October in the year of application.

Exam dates and admissions evidence

The current MGGS Year 7 pages publish July 2026 open events and explain that the Kent Tests are taken in September, but they do not yet publish a full September 2027 test timetable on the reviewed live school pages. MGGS has announced an Open Afternoon on Wednesday 1 July 2026 from 13:35 to 15:25 and an Open Morning on Friday 3 July 2026 from 9:05 to 11:05. The admissions page also states that the Supplementary Information Form deadline for qualifying applicants is 31 October in the year of application.
