Data We Handle

The service uses public school information, including school names, locations, phase, type, Ofsted ratings, performance measures, pupil counts and related public profile details.

When you use search, comparison or map features, the service may process the search terms, filters, selected schools, map viewport bounds and approximate area needed to return relevant results. If you choose to use browser location features on the website, your browser asks for permission before sharing location with the site.

Chrome Extension

The MySchoolHub for Rightmove extension runs only on supported Rightmove map pages. It reads the visible map bounds and selected filters so it can request relevant school markers from myschoolhub.co.uk and display them on the map.

The extension stores your overlay setting, filter choices and a generated analytics client id in Chrome storage. It does not collect Rightmove property details, property prices, personal account information, emails, names, passwords or payment information.

The extension sends allow-listed usage events to myschoolhub.co.uk, which relays them to Google Analytics. These events describe extension usage, such as install or update, map view, overlay toggle, filter change, reload, school data load result and marker click category. They do not include Rightmove URLs, property data, school names, URNs, coordinates or user-entered search text.

How We Use Data

Data is used to provide school search, comparison, map overlays, performance profiles, service reliability, abuse prevention, analytics and product improvement.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use Chrome extension data for personalised advertising, credit decisions or unrelated profiling.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run MySchoolHub, such as hosting, analytics, mapping, search and operational infrastructure providers. Extension analytics events may be relayed to Google Analytics for aggregated usage reporting.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
