Pupils admitted at the start of Year 7 must either be judged suitable for grammar school education under the Kent selection procedure or qualify via the additional Highsted optional test. The school accepts up to 120 pupils in Year 7.
Exam dates and admissions evidence
The admissions page states that the additional Highsted Test application route for September 2026 entry remained open until Tuesday 1 July 2025 and that applicants had to have registered for the Kent Test and submit proof of Kent registration. Parents applying under the pupil premium criterion had to return the supplementary information form by 31 October 2025. Appeals for Year 7 September 2026 entry had to be submitted by Monday 30 March 2026.
