Entry requirements

Mayfield says girls can be considered for Year 7 either through the Kent PESE procedure or through the school's optional additional Mayfield procedure. All applicants must complete their home local-authority Secondary Common Application Form, and the school states that no Supplementary Information Form is required unless the applicant is a Kent resident currently in receipt of Free School Meals.

Exam dates and admissions evidence

For the optional Mayfield procedure for September 2027 entry, the school states that registration opens at 9.00am on Monday 1 June 2026 and closes at 4.00pm on Wednesday 3 July 2026, with evidenced late registrations accepted only until 4.00pm on Monday 6 July 2026. Testing takes place at Mayfield on Saturday 12 September 2026. Requests for special arrangements must be supported by the child's current headteacher and received by 4.00pm on Monday 6 July 2026. The policy says results will be emailed to parents in line with the amended KCC PESE assessment process for 2026 for 2027 entry.
