Chelmsford County High School for Girls is a selective academy with 180 Year 7 places. Girls must be registered for and sit the CCHS Entrance Test, attain the required academic standard, and then submit the home-local-authority Common Application Form.

Exam dates and admissions evidence

For Year 7 2026 entry, online registration opened at 9am on 2 April 2025 and closed at 4pm on 4 June 2025. Open Day was on 1 May 2025 from 4pm to 7pm. Entrance-test arrangements were posted to parents in the week commencing 30 June 2025.
