Chatham Grammar is a selective academy using the Medway common application process, and it also accepts the Kent Test for admission. For September 2026 entry the school had an agreed Year 7 admission number of 150 and confirmed that it would become co-educational from September 2026.
Exam dates and admissions evidence
For the September 2026 intake, open events took place on 11 October 2025 and 16 October 2025, with tours in the week commencing 6 October 2025. Medway test dates were 16-17 September 2025 for Medway-school children and 20-21 September 2025 for non-Medway-school children. Medway test results were released on 15 October 2025. National offer day was 2 March 2026, the appeal deadline was 27 March 2026, evidence deadline was 28 April 2026, and school appeals were heard on 5, 7, 11, 12 and 13 May 2026.
