Sir Thomas Rich?s is an academically selective state-funded grammar school. The admissions overview says it admits 150 boys to Year 7 each September, with entry determined by the Gloucestershire Grammar Schools Admissions Test.
Exam dates and admissions evidence
The official Year 7 admissions page says the test takes place in September and registration opens in May and closes at the end of June. The Open Days page says prospective pupils and parents are invited to Year 7 Open Days on Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 April 2026. The Year 7 page also says national allocation day is usually 1 March; I used 1 March 2027 as the offer date for the 2027 cycle.
