Marling School says Year 7 entry is through the Gloucestershire Grammar Schools entrance test and the Gloucestershire co-ordinated admissions scheme. Families must register for the test, receive results by email, and then submit the Common Application Form to their local authority.
Exam dates and admissions evidence
For September 2027 entry, Marling states that the entrance test will be held on Saturday 12 September 2026. Registration opens at noon on Monday 18 May 2026 and closes at noon on Friday 26 June 2026. Results are emailed in mid-October 2026 before the CAF deadline of 31 October 2026. The school also publishes Year 4 and Year 5 open mornings on Wednesday 13 May and Tuesday 19 May 2026 and notes that an autumn open evening will be held in October 2026.
