Admissions realism depends on your home postcode and the school's published allocation data. Enter your postcode on this page to get a more specific assessment, and always verify the latest policy on the school's official admissions page.

This is a selective school. Admission usually requires passing an entrance test. Check the school's admissions policy for test registration deadlines.

Watch-outs

Entry requirements

QEGS Alford says Year 7 entry is selective through the Lincolnshire grammar-school 11+ process and the 2027 admissions arrangements set a PAN of 84. Children within the designated transport area receive registration forms through primary schools in January and these must be returned by Friday 20 March 2026 if families want the child to take part in testing.

Exam dates and admissions evidence

The school admissions page says the Open Evening for Year 7 entry September 2027 is on 30 July 2026. The same page says registration forms distributed through designated transport-area primary schools must be returned by Friday 20 March 2026, that pupils sit the two 11+ tests in September of Year 6, and that results are sent to parents by email in mid-October. The reviewed live school pages do not state the exact September test day on the visible school text, instead referring families to the useful dates document and Lincolnshire 11+ information links.
